Sandali
A moment captured
In a frame
Or in words
Isn't life just a summary of moments? Those we flashbacks we see before we die, like they depict in the movies.
It's easy to take things for granted especially in this world of information overload where we're constantly bombarded with events, emotion and everything in between. And can you blame this generation for being jaded? When a touching moment can be perfectly captured by a Hallmark card or even a 30-second commercial?
To make sense of our life --isn't this what every man who has walked this earth wants? Yet many wander aimlessly, hoping to bump into their destinies, one way or the other. Many of us wait, for that special moment, ang natatanging sandali, that our destiny, or purpose, call it what you want, will be revealed to us --like a ray of shining light while the rest of the world is at a standstill --yet another scene from a movie.
And so we get absorbed in waiting for this perfect moment that we take all other moments for granted.
Post script: This entry was inspired by the poetry of Rofel. Thank you for letting me be part of that wonderful, inspiring weekend.
