Apart from the health benefits of running, I also love the fact that I'm alone with my thoughts (and hopefully with the right background music to boot). Running gives me a release. A physical release from all the stress pent up from having to hunch in front of a computer the entire day. An emotional release from all the strangely persistent thoughts that keep on popping up in my mind (which keep me from working). And a mental release of having to deal with these thoughts with no distractions.
Now all is left is keep up the motivation.
